
MN-DNR Coon Rapids Dam Rehabilitation
This dam rehabilitation project included the replacement of a complete gate system, spillway, and downstream apron located on the Mississippi River. In addition, the project included 30,000 square feet of sheet piling required for cofferdam construction and 8,000 lineal feet of piling foundations. Construction of this two year project begin in 2013 with the installation of five new water control gates and construction of a new stilling basin. This work was completed before the high spring river flows in 2014.
