Castle Rock North Meadows Extension CMGC
Kraemer provided CM/GC services for both preconstruction and construction to construct two miles of a new four lane roadway connecting I-25 to the Meadows Subdivision in Castle Rock, CO. This has been accomplished with no reduction in laneage on I-25 throughout construction. The scope of work includes two new interchanges at I-25 and US 85, mass hauling of 850,000 cy of earthwork, and 21,000 tons of paving. During preconstruction, Kraemer provided value engineering input for nine new bridges and cost saving ideas to haul and dispose of excess earthwork from the roadway excavation. During CAP negotiations, Kraemer provided competitive pricing to the Town of Castle Rock by soliciting subcontractor earthwork and paving quotes, which closely compared with the ICE consultant LS Gallegos on final price. Kraemer partnered with the designer to develop traffic and construction phasing plans that limited impacts to US 85, I-25, and the BNSF and UPRR railroads.
